Aamir Khan to star in a remake of ‘Yaadon Ki Baaraat’?
Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan who is basking in the glory of ‘3 Idiots’ is all set to act along with his nephew Imran Khan in a classic remake of ‘Yaadon Ki Baaraat’, a comeback vehicle for director Mansoor Khan.
According to the latest Bollywood news, Mansoor Khan, who has been staying in Coonoor for the past one decade, almost shying away from Bollywood will make his comeback with a remake of ‘Yaadon Ki Baaraat.’
Mansoor’s last directorial venture was the Shah Rukh -Aishwarya Rai starrer ‘Josh.’ Incidentally, both Mansoor Khan and Aamir Khan made their debut together with the 1987 Box Office hit ‘Qayamat se Qayamat Tak.’
Talking to a news daily, a close source said, “It is a known fact that Aamir won’t be shooting any film this year. But no one is aware that he will start working on the script of ‘Yaadon Ki Baaraat’, which will mark the comeback of Mansoor Khan. Mansoor and Aamir made their joint debuts with ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’ in 1987. After that Mansoor made ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander’, ‘Akele Hum Akele Tum’ and ‘Josh’ before he settled down in Coonoor.”
“He had no intention of returning to Bollywood until Imran Khan was about to debut with ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’. Mansoor came back to Mumbai to take care of the Mansoor Khan film’s production. The director has time and again denied any news of his comeback. However, Aamir wanted him to direct a film again. After Aamir finishes three films as a producer, they will start working on the remake,” added the source.
However, when enquired Aamir about the film, the maverick star denied any such plans.
