Illuminati Films and Eros Entertainment present AGENT VINOD, an upcoming action spy film, set to release on 23rd March 2012.
Directed by Sriram Raghavan and produced by Saif Ali Khan and Dinesh Vijan, the film stars Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Prem Chopra, Gulshan Grover, Ram Kapoor and Ravi Kissen.
The music is given by Pritam Chakraborty and lyrics are penned by Amitabh Bhattachatya and Nilesh Mishra.
Character Sketches:Saif Ali Khan as Agent Vinod – With the sorry state of the world, what better time than today to delve into the life of a super slick secret agent? Someone who understands the games nations are playing, process incoming information and control rather than be controlled by situations. Someone who is not always backed by the might of military hardware and brainpower. Someone who has to rely more on guts than gadgets. He has a devilish cunning and almost seems to enjoy the danger of the situation. You may not agree with his methods but you are glad he’s son on your side. He can speak 23 languages and still learning. He is right now learning Japanese.
In a world of profound flux, we need the anchor of a hero who is able to do something about the things that we, frankly have no power over. His hobby is paining. Painting himself into a corner.
Kareena Kapoor as Dr. Ruby/Iram – Is she Dr. Ruby, professional doctor to ageing mafia don Kazan… Or is she Iram, a terrorist who has escaped from a British jail and is presumed dead.

The story begins with a series of seemingly unconnected events, all over the globe. In Uzbekistan, an ex KGB officer is tortured and murdered. In Cape Town, a group of International business tycoons discuss a rumor that the dead KGB officer had a nuclear suitcase bomb hidden away. In Moscow, an Indian secret agent is exposed. The agent is shot dead while trying to send a code red message to India. In India, the head of the raw sees the incomplete message. All it contains is a number 242.
Enter AGENT VINOD. Vinod (Saif Ali Khan) is the kind of agent who first kicks the door open and then finds out what’s behind it. His unconventional approach puts him in dangerous situations, but he manages to get the crucial leads. Vinod is sent to Moscow to investigate why his colleague was killed. Vinod finds out that a Russian money launderer Abu Nazar (Ram Kapoor) has sent 50 million dollars to contact in Morocco, for an operation against India.
Vinod leaves for Morocco, where he meets an elderly Mafiosi Kazan (Prem Chopra) and the beautiful but mysterious Dr. Ruby (Kareena Kapoor). A series of twists and turns take agent VINOD across the globe from Marakkesh to Riga, Karachi to Delhi and finally London where he discovers the ultimate conspiracy.
Agent Vinod, you may not agree with his methods, but you sure are glad he’s on your side. Agent Vinod is your passport to action and adventure.
