Salman Khan promises to be the face of Autism
His arch-rival Shah Rukh Khan may have done a fabulous job by playing an autistic man in My Name Is Khan, but victims of the syndrome would rather have Salman Khan as the face of Autism. And the largehearted Khan, who is known for his spontaneous acts of kindness and generosity towards those in need, has respected their sentiments and promised to do his bit on that front too like he does for any other causes.
Mary, the mother of a boy suffering from autism, who created awareness about how to reach out to autistic kids with love and affection and won an award, was felicitated by Salman recently. And it was her request to him to join the cause. Salman without a second thought, said, “I would love to come to the rescue of parents, who are unable to deal with such sensitive situations. In fact, my full support is with Mary and such people who refuse to succumb to the situations and rather fight back.”
Salman has been actively supporting the cause initiated by a news channel along with the partnership of Dainik Bhaskar for three years now. Interestingly, the superstar had declined the Indian of the Year in Entertainment Award by the channel earlier but vowed to continue celebrating the endeavours of those disabled, who were fighting their hardships. “I don’t need any awards to certify my contributions as an actor and social activist as what keeps me going ahead is love and affection from my fans,” concluded Salman.
