Salman Khan to play a sardar

Or the ‘Son of Sardaar’ for that matter. This guy is such a magnet on the Box-Office that anybody, who has any remote association at all with him wants to cash in on his massive popularity by requesting him to be a part of their ventures, even if for a miniscule of roles. Last we had told you that Salman Khan had agreed to shoot an item number for his friend Ajay Devgn’s upcoming production ‘Son of Sardaar’. Though there had been no confirmation and mere rumours, strong ones at that, earlier, but director Ashwini Dheer has finally put them all to rest by confirming the fact.

During an exclusive interview to Daily Bhaskar sometime back, Ajay Devgn had said that there had been no truth at all to the Salman doing an item number story, but he did admit that it would be great idea to get him for that. Recently, the director stated that Salman has shot for a scene for the movie and he would be shooting for the item number by the end of July. What interests us is that ‘scene’ that Salman has shot for. Does that mean Salman would be playing a sardar too in the movie, albeit, a cameo.

Any-which-way, this is one development that we would love to follow constantly.
