Ek Tha Tiger is heading for 40 crore nett business in Delhi/UP and it will be first time ever that the 40 crore mark is hit. The business after three weeks will be 39 crore nett plus. The share in the circuit will be around 22.75 crore, its the first time any film has crossed the 20 crore mark.
The other major benchmarks in Delhi/UP over the last 20 years or so were that Hum Aapke Hain Kaun was the first film to hit 10 crore nett in 1994, Gadar Ek Prem Katha was first to 20 crore in 2001 and Three Idiots was first to go over 30 crore nett in 2009.
Next is the magical 50 crore mark and it won’t be any surprise if tis mark is achieved within next two years.
