It’s a family reunion for the Bachchans
Amitabh Bachchan, who turns 70 next month, is a busy man. Traversing the world – first to London and then New York, the actor will finally land in Chicago today to meet his son Abhishek. Bachchan Jr has been away from home, filming his next, Dhoom 3 in the city for almost a month now.
An insider told us, “Big B will go to New York for some work first. On September 6 he will fly down to Chicago and meet Abhishek. However, Big B’s calendar is choc-a-bloc right now with film assignments and the shooting of Kaun Banega Crorepati. So he will stay there for just two days.”
Just like his dad, Abhishek too has been missing his daughter Aaradhya and wife Aishwarya. Perhaps more so since his co-star from the film, Aamir Khan has already flown in his wife Kiran Rao and son Aazad to the city. And thus, the Bachchan family reunion will continue after Big B’s brief stay there.
“Later this month, around mid September, Aishwarya will fly down to New York. We aren’t too sure whether it is to meet Shweta Nanda (Abhishek’s sister), who’s often in the city. From there, she along with Beti B will join Abhishek in Chicago to spend some quality family time,” added the insider.
Interestingly, Aishwarya’s decision to travel abroad around the same time as Madhur Bhandarkar’s Heroine releases, has not gone unnoticed by the industry people. The grapevine is abuzz with rumours of the actress who was replaced by Kareena in the film, deliberately choosing to avoid the media attention that she would undoubtedly get at the time.
