BOMBAY TALKIES an ode to Indian Cinema
3rd May 2013 the date when Indian Cinema hits century. To mark the auspicious occasion, this generation film makers are gearing up to release ‘Bombay Talkies’. Directed by four prolific directors; Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee, Anurag Kashyap and Karan Johar Bombay Talkies will be an ode to 100 Years of Indian Cinema. Recently KJo shared about the movie saying this will be the first time he will be shooting in real locations instead of studios within the country.
“No foreign locales, real alleys and corridors of BOMBAY. Its challenge for me” says KJo who is known for eye candy picturesque kind of cinema. For his story he will be directing Rani & Randeep Hooda in a realistic love story set in Navi Mumbai, i.e. old Bombay. After success of Student Of The Year, Karan seems to have started working on small budget films which can recover its cost within a day or two of its release instead of Magnum Opus like KKKG, KANK where risk factor is very high.
