Why did Salman refuse to feature in Bombay Talkies?
Bombay Talkies is Bollywood’s tribute to 100 years of Indian cinema. But looks like that a certain Mr. Khan from the B-town does not want to be a part of the fine clan. Salman Khan has reportedly refused to feature in a song from Bombay Talkies because it also features Shah Rukh Khan among other A-list actors.
According to a source in a tabloid, “Salman didn’t want to be in the same frame as Shah Rukh. It’s common knowledge that after their spat a few years ago, the two don’t see eye-to-eye. And when he found out that SRK has given his nod for the song, he didn’t show much interest. Though SRK hasn’t shot for it yet, it looks difficult to get both these actors together for the song.”
Well, The Khan war seems to continue. However, Salman Khan gave date issues as the reason for refusal but the real reason could be SRK’s presence in the video.
Infact Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan are coming onscreen together for the first time for the same song that Sallu Mian has declined.
Dhoom 3 and Chennai Express stars will reportedly feature in a theme song for the movie. According to a leading daily, Aamir Khan has already shot his portion in the special song, while SRK is yet to complete his part.
“It would have been great to have SRK and Aamir shoot simultaneously. But since their busy schedules didn’t allow that to happen, now we are waiting for Shah Rukh to can his portion separately,” the daily quoted a source as saying.
Bombay Talkies, which will be a congregation of four different short films made individually by filmmakers- Dibakar Banerjee, Zoya Akhtar, Karan Johar and Anurag Kashyap is set for release on May 3 this year.
It would be wonderful to see all the 3 Khans of Bollywood together on the silver screen. Salman, your fans will be more than happy if you change your mind.
