Another Hit for Ranbir – 5.0/5.0
Okay guys, so here I’m to review of most awaited film of 2013 till date “yeh jawani hai diwani”. Well atleast I was waiting for it like a mad girl. So as everyone knows cast of the movie is
Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Kalki Kochelin and Aditya Roy Kapur. And the director is Ayan mukerji, the same person who directed Wake up Sid back in 2009.
As witnessed from the trailer the movie is about friendship, fun, madness and all the crazy things which we do with our friends in school and college. The movies like Dil chahta hai, Zindagi na milegi dobara and Kai po che or others with the main story line as friendship never fail to impress the audience. Same is the case with YJHD, trust me if you go watch with your friends you will be loving the movie and cherish your old memories.
Ranbir Kapoor plays the role of Bunny who is fun filled boy who loves to travel and also loves his camera. Kalki and Aditya are his friends and they plan a road trip where Deepika Padukone (Naina) joins them. They are basically school friends and have their own ideologies completely contrasting each other.
Bunny is a fun loving guy who always tends to keep himself away from the relationship and commitment. Whereas Naina is a geek(though she looks cute with the glasses) is simple sweet girl-next-door. Naina falls in love with Bunny, but he being so called “COOL DUDE” cannot handle this and tries to avoid relationship. Ya, Ya you people guessed it right, like every other bollywood movie he realises his mistake and finds that only solace in the world is with Naina and goes back to her.
Though the storyline is simple its Ayan’s direction which keeps you gelled up. Remember Wake up Sid, such a sweet and cute movie it was. This movie is quite similar to that in terms of creating a satisfactory feeling after watching.
Ranbir’s acting (though i need not mention) is outstanding. I know its all in the genes, but still he gets better by each character he plays. And he is breath taking handsome at times. Oh, my God I cant stop drooling when i see him on the screen.
Deepika Padukone looks so much cute in those specks and is drop dead gorgeous in some scenes. Kalki and Aditya are also good, but there is no much story about them in the movie, so they dint have so much skills to show-off. The other awesome people in the movie are of their family and friends, it’s veterans Farooq Sheikh, Tanvi Azmi and Dolly Ahluwalia who are outstanding. Even Kunaal Roy Kapur’s fidgety Taran is loveable.
The music!!! who hasn’t heard it?? I bet no one. Th music is just magic…. And my favourite track is SUBANHALLAHHHHH!!! the song is so awesome and Sreeram’s voice I cant stop listening to it again and again and again……. Dilliwali girlfriend is the next favourite of mine. Though other songs are also brilliant i love this two.
The picturesque of the movie are awesome and some scenes though simple indeed touch your heart. Ohhhhh, how on earth i can forget about Madhuri!!! Guys she is just wow!! What else can I tell about the beauty, if not for anything else you can watch the movie for her.
So, overall the movie is excellent and i recommend strongly to everyone to watch this movie atleast once and preferably with friends. Even though you have grown old and not in touch frequently, ping them up or directly bump into their homes and pull them out for the movie. Trust me, you will love that!!
