Don’t want a big fat Indian wedding: Alia Bhatt
Which is your favourite getaway in India?
It would be Goa. When I am there, I am usually eating without bothering about the calories, lazily strolling around the beach, chilling by the pool and sleeping to my heart’s content. I have a girl gang of four and I am planning a trip with them soon. We are friends since school days and we have determinedly stayed in touch.
When you decide to marry, will it be the big fat Indian wedding?
I have no idea! Don’t you think I am too young for marriage? Still, if you insist… I’d say I’d keep it low-key and wouldn’t go ballistic about it. As much as I enjoy the entire idea of the glamorous Indian wedding, I don’t think I’d opt for one. I’d like a quiet celebration, preferably out of town.
How tech-savvy are you?
Gizmos quite literally freak me out. I rely on my sister and a couple of friends. I can barely get the tricks of my iPhone right. I’m technologically-challenged. I manage to use the Instagram app, because you really can’t get it wrong.
Do you like dogs or are you a cat person?
I am an animal lover. I have three cats at home that I absolutely adore. But, unfortunately because of them, I can’t keep a dog. But once I have a bigger place of my own, I want to get a dog too. I have this one ambition of buying a house of my own and am already saving up.
Are you the quintessential drama queen?
I am a drama queen when I want to be (laughs). Otherwise I’m usually quiet. I internalise. If I have heartbreak, I will take a while to get over it, but I will never go all around the town howling. I think I am at a stage where I’m beyond those adolescent dramas.
