Rohit Shetty to join hand with Karan Johar to work with Salman Khan
After Shah Rukh Khan, Rohit Shetty now wants to make a film with Salman Khan. The ‘Chennai Express’ director had joined hand with Karan Johar for a project and Sallu has been on the latter’s wish list for a long time now.
Now sources close to the film tell us that the two have met Salman to discuss the probability of starring in their film. A source told TOI, “Though Karan Johar had signed Rohit a long time back, they were busy wrapping up their previous commitments. Rohit is now busy writing ‘Singham 2’ and he will also start working on the remake of the Tamil film ‘Soodhu Kavvum’, the rights of which he recently bought. Karan too is working on his next directorial and his TV commitments keep him busy. So the project with Salman will take time to roll”.
The source added that though Salman has expressed interest in the project, he is yet to sign on the dotted line. “Salman will make the decision soon. He has just wrapped up Sohail’s ‘Jai Ho’ and has moved on to Kick. As for Rohit’s film, there will be several meetings in the future to discuss other aspects of the project,” said the source.
After years of avoiding the famed couch, Salman recently made a guest appearance on Karan’s talk show Koffee With Karan. Will the small screen collaboration lead to a silver screen gig?
