Salman Khan, Narendra Modi’s kite flying competition
While Amdavad celebrated Uttarayan with much enthusiasm, filling up the sky with kites and thousands of Chinese balloons, two shinning stars descended on the terrace to take on the sky in their own signature style.
Salman Khan and Narendra Modi indulging in a kite flying competition was easily the most talked about event on Tuesday, which not only brought the city to a standstill, but added some extra zing to Uttarayan celebrations.
While Salman officially met CM Narendra Modi at the circuit house as he “wanted to make Jai Ho tax free in Gujarat,” he decided to take a detour with Modi to have some kite flying fun before he went on with his business as usual. The two not only shared fun moments with each other flying kites, but also shared mouthwatering Gujarati food including chikkis and undhiyu. Salman had earlier said that he chose to visit Ahmedabad on this auspicious day as he “wanted to be a part of the festivities. Gujarat has a special place in my life as every time I have come here, I have experienced a lot of happiness looking at the way people live their lives here. And this makes me happy too.”
As we all know that Salman’s signature style, his happy banter and his uncanny sense of humour can win hearts with ease. And this time Salman seemed to be in high spirit as he joked around with people, came up with crazy one-liners and sent everyone in splits. And with Amdavadis already engulfed in celebrations, Salman’s antics only added to the fun quotient.
