Kareena Kapoor spreads oomph on Vogue
Styled by Anaita Shroff Adajania, Kareena Kapoor has gone all retro for the shoot, which happened at an art exhibition held at Mumbai’s Famous Studios. Why an art exhibition and not some lavish setting or a resort or a swanky hotel?
Well, this time Vogue decided to mix up two different elements: fashion and art, the former obviously being a part of the latter. Thus the cover shoot with Kareena Kapoor took place at an art exhibition of Thukral & Tagra. The artist duo has been adding new dimensions to the contemporary art, and Kareena looked as delightful as mesmerizing in their creations.
The mag even carries a candid tete-a-tete with the actress where she talks about her career, and why she has become very picky about films.
“I’m picking and choosing what I want to do. If something great doesn’t come my way, it’s fine,” she says. This is her new mantra: It’s fine. “Earlier I would be afraid to say no, and I would probably do films for friends. But this year it’s different.”
In 2014, ‘no’ actually means ‘no’. “It’s all about saying I want to do something for myself and not for others. I want to do something that I really want to be a part of. Or it’s fine. I’m really happy to be, you know, chilling.”
