Shah Rukh Khan turns to Gautam Buddha to calm down post IPL win
After an exhilarating series of IPL and being victorious as a co-owner of his team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) one more time, Shah Rukh Khan embarks in the search of peace. The actor tweeted, “Got a set of books on the life of Gautam Buddha. Excited to start reading them so that I can calm down a bit.” The superstar who was seen drowning in excitement during the season 7 of Indian Premier League believes that he needs to find his anchor after being thrown off balance by the euphoria of the matches.
The man kept shuttling between Mumbai and various parts of the country to attend the matches KKR was playing in, to cheer the players on. He also got his lucky charm his daughter Suhana to most of the matches. After the win, Shah Rukh together with co-owner Juhi Chawla got a thunderous reception in the Eden Gardens, Bangalore where Chief Minister of Bengal Mamata Banerjee was also spotted. The 47 year old actor also tweeted, “Overwhelmed at how much love I receive. Makes me want to give my all in the service of making people smile. Hope I have enough to give for long.”
Shah Rukh who has been very liberating and secular with his children when it comes to religion, now turns to books of Gautam Buddha to ‘calm down a bit’.
Earlier, he had also made a remark on how he would like to take Suhana along to Haj once she is old enough.
It may be noticed that the actor who has a penchant for winning, had almost lost his cool during the initial years of the IPL series while his team KKR was on a consecutive spree of losing. And now that he has won for the second year in a row, the actor is again finding himself in the need for some calm and peace in life.
