Abhay Deol’s meaningful Reactions to ADHM’s controversy
Karan Johar’s upcoming film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has been churning a lot of headlines after MNS party threatened to ban the film’s release, in the wake of Uri attacks. Many members from the film fraternity have come ahead in support of Karan and have given their views on the controversy.
It’s now actor Abhay Deol who was present at the opening ceremony of MAMI festival spoke his heart out on the film’s release issue. He said, “If you want to ban anything to do with Pakistan then go the distance. Don’t just ban the film makers. Why are you doing a half-hearted job? Ban the business dealings we do, the import, the export. Because when you do half a job no one will take you seriously.” (sic)
Abhay opined that by only banning the artists won’t do the needful, if the goverment means it, it should cut off all kinds of business ties with them.
He said, “I will support if you think banning anything to do with Pakistan is going to help our jawans. I don’t take the government seriously because they’re only banning us from collaborating with artists. They’re not banning businessmen from doing business.” (sic)
Abhay has clearly stated that it shouldn’t be just banning artists but also all sorts of financial relations with Pakistan.
