Kareena Kapoor gives birth to a healthy baby boy
Kareena Kapoor finally gave birth to her first child – Tamur Ali Khan Pataudi.
Taimur was born at the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai at 7:30 am on Tuesday, December 20.
In a statement issued to the media, the couple said, “We are very pleased to share with you all the wonderful news about the birth of our son : Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi, on the 20th of December 2016.”
“We would like to thank the media for the understanding and support they have given us over the last 9 months, and of course especially our fans and well wishers for their continued affection. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you all…With love, Saif & Kareena,” it added.
Interestingly Taimur was the name of Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the film Talaash which co starred Kareena Kapoor and Aamir Khan.
A while back Kareena had mentioned that Saif is very fond of histpory and would want a traditional name for their son.
Interestingly, Indian history also talks about Timur, the founder of the Timurid Dynasty and an ancestor of Babur, who formed the Mughal empire in.
Kareena and Saif Ali Khan Pataudi have been married since October 2012 after a five year live in relationship. Saif’s cricketer father Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi died in 2011 after which there was a one year mourning period for the family before they got married.
Saif already has two children from an earlier marriage with actress Amrita Singh. Sara and Ibrahim are the two children and there has been a lot of news recently about Sara’s acting debut as well.
