When Priyanka Chopra demanded a whopping amount for Bharat to compete with Deepika Padukone

Priyanka Chopra is on a global dominance sphere by doing some amazing work both in Hollywood as well as Bollywood. While it’s been almost 2 years since we saw our desi girl on the silver screens, we are thrilled to know that she will soon land in Mumbai to start filming for her upcoming film ‘Bharat’ opposite Salman Khan.

About this film, various reports revealed that Pee Cee had demanded a whopping amount nearly Rs 14 crore for this project. Initial reports revealed that Priyanka raised her fee in order to compete with contemporary actress Deepika Padukone.

Sources revealed, “Priyanka’s this move looks like as if she wants to compete with Deepika when it comes to being the highest paid actress in the industry. Deepika Padukone had charged Rs 13 crore which was comparatively more than her male co-stars in the film for her act in Padmaavat and now reportedly Priyanka has demanded Rs 14 crore for Bharat”.

Now, if a report by DNA is to be believed then the actress will be paid a huge amount of Rs 6.50 crore for Ali Abbas Zafar’s directorial ‘Bharat’. Well, that’s half of what she had demanded but we are pleased that to know that actresses are getting equal pay to that of the male actors.

Apart from Bharat, Priyanka Chopra has also demanded a huge amount for Rakesh Roshan’s ‘Krrish 4’. Sources reveal that she does not want the film to solely be known as Hrithik Roshan’s film, she needs equal space and importance. She is now a global star and keeping her popularity in mind she has laid down these conditions.

“Priyanka wants to do ‘Krrish 4’ with Hrithik as she liked the script but she is making sure that her role is meaty enough as Hrithik in the film. While Krrish franchise is known for Hrithik’s superhero image, the actress is in no mood to compromise on her screen time,” said a source close to the actress.
